Youth Filmmaking Workshops

Ms. Walden launched the Northern Nevada Film Factory in 2009, a sister to the Fallbrook Film Factory she co-founded in 2006.  The Northern Nevada Film Factory hosted a number  of workshops through the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City including a screenwriting workshop by Dan Decker, author of “Anatomy of a Screenplay.”

July 27-31, 2009 in Carson City, Walden organized a youth filmmaking workshop at Brewery Arts Center where teens wrote, directed, acted, filmed and edited a 5-minute film in one week. On August 16-20, 2010, the 2nd youth filmmaking workshop was delivered. John Phillips, senior editor for some Hollywood blockbusters including “Good Morning Vietnam” made a guest appearance.

The Brewery Arts Center did a multi-media production of the Laremy Project for which The Northern Nevada Film Factory contributed the video imagery. We also produced a 3-D animation film called “Gateway” through the Brewery Arts Center that was written and directed by Luke Holden who was a senior at Carson High School at the time.
