GBENN and Summmit

Inthink has supported the Green Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) through an affiliation with the non-profit greenUP!.  InThink organized their 2016 national summit and Ms. Walden has helped to build the organizational structure for GBENN including setting up greenUP! as a fiscal sponsor, helping to build and launch their website in 2016 and assisted with outreach for members.

GBENN is a consortium of unique local, state-wide and national green business programs from across the United States. Their mission is to facilitate sharing and relationship-building among green and/or sustainable business engagement programs across the U.S. in order to advance the national interests of such locally-focused approaches and spread effective practices.

GBENN held its second national Summit of green business programs on October 19-20th, 2016 hosted by GBENN and at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO. There were 30 green business programs from the USA and Canada who attended this event.

There were six sessions and two keynotes. In a post-summit survey where all sessions were rated on a 5 point scale (where 5 is excellent), all the sessions received between a 4.2 to a 4.8 rating. Participants appreciated the opportunity to network with other programs, share best practices and learn from each other.
