Donna Walden, Business Owner and Sole Proprietor

Ms. Walden has done business in many countries and across the nation.  She has worked with multi-million dollar budgets and on a show string with gorilla marketing tactics.  No challenge is too large or small for her.  While she has managed large teams, she presently works with virtual teams to get the job done.  This enables scaling to fit the project size and enables you to get the best service for the best price.

Donna is the ultimate entrepreneur. Having launched three successful businesses and four not- for-profit organizations, she is an expert in global marketing and small business operations. A business leader, Donna possesses 20+ years experience in publishing and marketing working with large fortune 500 companies to build a marketing presence in the U.S. and abroad. She’s done business in 15 countries and understands the delicate balance of moving forward the business agenda while respecting the varying approach of different cultures.
Donna enjoys mentoring and grooming individuals, helping them to work together as a team for the collective whole while developing and specializing individual talents. She specializes in organizing and building not-for-profit organizations, recruiting and motivating volunteers; recognizing that the greatest asset to any organization is its people. Filmmaking Experience
Ms. Walden, co-founded and was the Executive Director for The Fallbrook Film Factory, a 501c3, not-for-profit consortium to bring filmmaking capabilities to Fallbrook and the San Diego region. Film enthusiasts wishing to write, direct, act, produce or contribute as film crew joined, and membership rose to 200 combined amateur and professional filmmakers. Walden was Executive Producer of Fallbrook’s first film festival in April 2008, that organized its fifth and final international film festival in 2013. The Fallbrook Film Factory has produced dozens of films. “My Necklace Myself,” written and directed by Bryan Caron and coproduced by Donna Walden in 2008 received numerous awards.
Ms. Walden has done much to further filmmaking capability in Northern Nevada. Working through the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, she launched a filmmaking club, produced filmmaking and screen writing workshops, and co-produced two feature length films including “Gateway” written and directed by Carson High School student, Luke Holden, and “The Laramie Project,” a Multimedia Theatrical Production, for which Walden was solely responsible for the video content. Walden produced many filmmaking shorts as part of the youth filmmaking workshops she launched at the Brewery Arts Center in 2009 and 2010. During that time, Walden also produced an environmental video program for the Sierra Green Building Association located in Truckee, CA creating 8 films in 2009 – 2010 that aired on Carson City Channels 210 & 226.

In 2012, Walden produced the “Secrets of the Desert Nymph,” designed as a community filmmaking workshop. In this feature length film, middle school and high school students in Douglas County and Carson City learned all aspects of filmmaking, acted as the main characters and worked as crew to put this production together.

Walden acted as Executive Director for the Reno Tahoe International Film Festival and produced a multi-city event in Reno, Sparks and Tahoe City in June 0f 2015.  Thirty filmmakers from across the nation attended their inaugural event.

Environmental Work

Donna Walden provides consultation for environmental non-profits. Walden supports the Green Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) as a volunteer, helping them to structure the organization, assists with web design and strategic planning. She was instrumental in planning and organization of the second annual GBENN summit in Detroit in October 2016.

For 5 years, Walden was the Regional Coordinator for the Western Sustainability & Pollution Prevention Network (WSPPN), where she organized the annual WSPPN conference and negotiated joint involvement with CalRecycle in 2012 and 2013. Walden received national recognition in 2013 as the Pollution Prevention Volunteer of the Year 2013 by the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable as part of the annual Most Valuable Pollution Prevention (MVP2) awards designed to recognize outstanding and innovative P2 projects and programs.

In 2009 and 2008, she was the Executive Director for the Sierra Green Building Association (SiGBA) in Truckee, CA whose mission is to educate and promote environmental design, building and living practices in the Sierra Nevada. As SiGBA’s Executive Director, she launched their 1st annual Tahoe greenFEST expo and opened two new chapters to broaden their reach throughout the Sierra Nevada region.
